Spatial Ops (rhymes w/hops) Home Organizing Pros specialize in restoring order and controlling clutter by implementing space solutions that work with your lifestyle. If you are in a life transition, such as a new homeowner, first time parent, or empty nester, this service will help you adapt to your space.

A Professional Organizer loves everything about “organizing”, the great products, the desire to share our knowledge and craft, and the thrill of seeing a chaotic, cluttered space be transformed into one of order and simplicity for our clients.

In our quest to help others and transfer our skills, one must understand our clients’ needs, lifestyle and abilities to manage the space in their home. It’s also important to get to know our clients, to understand why they’re disorganized, what techniques have worked for them in the past and to see things from their perspective.

As a Professional Organizer, I will be detail oriented, flexible in my approach and offer tailored solutions to each client. I will listen intently, ask engaging questions, while keeping an open mind and making suggestions along the way. I will provide the know-how and motivation to tackling the unruly areas in your home or office. You will be thrilled with the results!

In Barry’s twenty plus year work history, being organized has always been viewed as a special and critical component to his success as an efficient and well-prepared professional. Whether it’s in the home, on the job, or racing sailboats on the Chesapeake Bay, these skills have qualifying benefits for Barry’s venture into this exciting field. He has been a resident of the eastern shore of MD since 1993 and has recently relocated his business to the upper Shenandoah Valley region near Charlestown WV. His background includes work in IT recruiting, new home sales, hospitality and most recently with Shore Regional Health as a Patient Services Manager. Barry also has professional volunteer experience serving as a “Court Appointed Special Advocate” for CASA of the Mid-Shore from 2013-2016. He holds a BS degree in Business Administration from Salisbury University.

What primary services do you offer?

I am in the business of professional home organizing. My goal is to transform your living space, freeing you of clutter, making everything more accessible and more visually appealing so you can live better in your home. I provide the tools, the expertise and the systems.

What do you specialize in?

I will craft a organizational plan specific to your needs and budget; whether it’s a home pre-listing project, a relocation scenario or if you just need help with specific areas in your home, e.g. garages, attics, basements, home offices, etc.

What are the benefits to being organized in your home/life?

The tangible benefits to being organized are: you can find things faster; reduced clutter; gives you more time for enjoyable activities; prepared for last minute guests; helps you meet deadlines; gain more control of surroundings; reduces stress/ decreases overwhelm.

The intangible benefits are: improved quality of life; brings a sense of peace & harmony; simplifies your life; helps you feel energized; greater appreciation for your visually appealing home; a confidence booster.

Are you licensed and insured?

Professional Home Organizers are not presently required to be licensed.

I  carry a business liability insurance policy with State Farm.

What are your terms and conditions?

I  have a “Service Agreement” that I ask all clients to sign prior to start of any project. It entails: client contact info, session date(s) & time, project description, payment expectations, cancellation policy and confidentialities. I also have a “Photo Release” authorization form where clients can choose to have photos taken with or without their name and identifying information.

Can you explain your organizing process ?

I have a 7-step process to any organizing project:
1. Assessment & Planning
2. Sort & Categorize
3. De-clutter & Downsize
4. Item Assignments (new locations)
5. Store & Label
6. Final “Sweep” / Maintenance Plan
7. Client Follow Through

What are the rates of your services?

I charge $50 per hour and $90 per hour for 2 organizers plus truck & trailer
Free in-home consultation / price includes any travel time within 30-mile radius
Additional charges may apply if project requires more planning or is complex in execution
